Truly impressive

Valetta is an incredible, densely packed walled city with a phenomenal history. Due to its compact size you arrive at the main entrance and have to walk into the city itself. The main strip is full of superchic boutiques for the old and nouveau riche, off the main track you will find cheaper shops and restaurants. The museum is superb, a stunning building filled with military memorabilia from the crusades onwards. Also recommended is a walk around part of the city wall, especially overlooking the marina. A history lovers idea of heaven.
