It's like a neighborhood place from little Italy in New York. The bartender will make you feel like you have been going there for years. the tuxcedoed waiters are fantastic. the steaks are the best in Los Angeles. This the place the stars go when they want to be treated like normal people. The last time I went, Dan Tana was having diner in the front romm with Sean Connery. Carl Maldon and Dabney Coleman are regulars, but I have even seed Mathew MCaunehay and Saundra Bullock enjoying a meal together. Great Italian food??? Even the godfather himself Al Pacino is a regular.

(Report Problem)The food is amazing. I've been going to Tana's for over 15 years and it hasn't changed. The ambiance is dated, but that's not why you go. The staff is polite and great, as long as you are too. It's expensive but well worth it. The other reviewer who ordered a steak here... How can you take that review seriously? Steak at Tana's? Please.

(Report Problem)This place is very over rated unless you are one of those people that need to be seen. From the minute you walk in the door, the service is horrible. Waiters are borderline rude, and the bus boys that don't do their job. The one and only bright spot was the bartender, he was the only person working hard. The service is all overshadowed by the food. Ragu from a jar would be a step up over the pasta and the steak was just marginal!!! With all the great places in LA there is no reason to go to Dan Tana's

(Report Problem)Excellent food. Maybe see a star. Homey, reminds you of NY or Chicago.
