This cluster of downtown high-rise glass towers is designed for conventions and has been recently renovated. It is a spacious, self-contained mini-city of guestrooms, boutiques, dance clubs, bars, restaurants and meeting rooms. One of 20 restaurants, the L.A. Prime Restaurant offers a 360-degree view of the city from the 35th floor. A floor below, the Bonavista Bar revolves around the dramatic evening vistas of the city. An indoor lake is one hint at what an extensive and classy property this is.

yes, the location here was indeed the problem. the hotelstaff is very forthcoming, the rooms areso-so, the shops are nice, but driving to and from the hotel after dark is the scariest experience we've ever had. stay somewhere else(most hotels in beverly hills are in the same pricerange).

06 Jun 2005 | A Yahoo! UserChose the Westin because of it's proximity to everything downtown. Very unusual design with 4cylindrical towers around a center court. Rooms are small but efficiently laid out & the legendary "Westin bed" did not dissappoint. Good restaurants in the area and the breakfast buffet, while not cheap, was excellent. The waiters left a lot to be desired. We watched two of them fight over where guests were seated & then they were less than responsive when they discovered you were ordering the buffet. We would stay again for the right rates. We are planning a trip in May requiring 2 rooms so we'll see
