10000 Turkey Lake Rd, Orlando, Florida, 32819, United States…
More and Maps
Offering 1,544 two, three and four-bedroom suites on six floors, the resort sits on 97 acres by a lake. Obviously, opportunities for water sports are abound, as do chances to commune with indigenous flora along the resort's nature trails. The resort is quietly luxurious and offers easy access to Walt Disney World, the Orange County Convention Center and other area attractions.

The location was great, almost walking distance from Universal Studios. There is no convenient form of transportation from or to the airport unless you rent a car or take a shuttle.
05 Jun 2008 | A Yahoo! UserFirst thing to realize is that this facility is not exacetly a hotel. It is more of a timeshare selling machine. Some of the things you may take for granted such as coffee packets in the room with the coffee maker, free internet, maid service or just plain clean sheets/towels are mysteriously absent. You start seeing services as free for "owners". Things are just not quite right.... Then, you WILL find out that there are presentations for timeshares. DO NOT STAY HERE WITH THE SAME EXPECTATIONS YOU WOULD HAVE FOR ANY HOTEL. They will not be met. They certainly know how to operate a massive timeshare selling machine but they don't have a clue how to run a hotel.
04 Mar 2007 | A Yahoo! UserMy family and I just returned from an Orlando/Westgate Lakes vacation on 04/23/05. This resort has 20 or more buildings each with six floors and who knows how many units. There are thousands of people vacationing there. Yet there are only 2 tennis courts and 1 basketball court. We were there for a week could not play either because the courts were always occupied. The parking is outrageous. We were only able to park infront of our unit one night out of seven. On two occasions we had to park in a parking lot that was about a 5 minute walk from our building. The kids (ages 11 & 14) were very disappointed with the pools. None of them were deeper than 5 feet. Needless to say we did not spend alot of time here. \n \nOn the flip side, the rooms were spacious and clean. The kitchen had everything you needed to prepare meals. Plenty of trash bags, toilet paper and the like were also provided. The location was fabulous!!!! We were literally minutes from everything. If you need a place to stay that is centrally located and don't mind walking to your unit after a long day in the park - then Westgate Lakes is for you. However, I wouldn't stay there again.
