Truly a bargain for its location and amenities, this hotel has been recently renovated. Many of the rooms offer marina views and high ceilings on the second story give the impression of huge rooms. The lobby has recently been updated and now includes a huge tropical fish aquarium.

The Dana Inn has a perfect location on Mission Bay, with many of the rooms having fantastic views across the Bay... Seaworld is just a 10 minute walk in one direction, and the beach is maybe 20 minutes in the other direction... the outdoor restaurant by the main pool is great... and the hot tubs are first class...
27 Jul 2005 | A Yahoo! UserMy husband and 3 year old daughter spent 5 days at the Dana Inn. We had a wonderful expereince. We were in the new addition to the hotel which I believe made a difference in the quality of our room. We had the king room with kitchette. Traveling with a 3 year old, the fridge was a necessity. Our room still had a "new" smell to it and had a great balcony overlooking over the bay. Our bathroom was in great contemporary decor and was large enough to have all 3 in at the same time. The pools were great, one was much warmer than the other so we had to walk a distance. We also had several breakfasts at the lodge and it was a great breakfast. \n \nMy only complaint was we were really looking for a room with 2 queen beds due to the 3rd member and one was not available, so we had to use the hide-a-bed. Too bad they can't guarantee the room we selected! I would recommend this place again, however, I think it is worth it to pay extra to be in the newer portion of the hotel.
